The PastBefore, a plethora of occupations existed where humans performed manual labor on large scales For example, it was quite common to go to the butcher to buy your meat, head to the cobbler to pick out some shoes, and visit the tailor to try on some clothes.

The PresentNow, with machines carrying out a large number of jobs at a fraction of the costs, many are being left behind. In this age, technology is the best bet you can make to have a healthy future. When investing your time in STEM, you're progressing society more than you know.

The FutureIn the new age, programming is not going to be a niche skill as it is now – nearly everyone will know basic coding and computer skills. Specializations in technology will be even more fulfilling. But in order to welcome this bright future, we need to ensure ample diversity.

Let's Get Our Girls AheadThe new generation is up-and-coming, and ready to make their mark on the world. It's our job to adequately prepare them and educate them for what's to come.
She Dreams in Code is capable of sharing this vision to the world: the vision of a better future where diversity in STEM has been achieved. In this future, girls close the gender gap and society benefits as a result. With more diversity comes more innovation – as people from all walks of life are able to share experiences and work together, ingenuity exponentially increases. The world is fitted with great thinkers, idealists, and explorers, bettering all peoples, one line of code at a time. |
Education is KeyNelson Mandela, a South African revolutionary, once remarked that "education is the most powerful tool which you can use to change the world". Mandela was most certainly right. In a time where education is critical to nearly all facets of life, it becomes a top priority that our youth are well informed and knowledgeable. After all, the future, at this moment, is learning in classrooms across the world.
But because the tech gender gap has become so divided, it's called to question what must be done to close it. She Dreams in Code strongly believes that one of the primary causes of this lack of diversity is a lack of awareness. Simply put, many girls in our communities all across the world do not know of the fulfilling promises of pursuing tech careers and hobbies. She Dreams in Code aims to spread this knowledge as far as possible, so children who are interested in STEM will take up their chances and chase opportunity. |
